MESSAGE FOR THE WEEK
As we approach Halloween later this week, I want to take a moment to reflect on its deeper roots.
The original celebration of Halloween comes from the ancient Celtic festival Samhain (pronounced “sow-in”). Samhain marked the transition from the light half of the year to the dark half. A sacred time when the veil between the spirit world and the physical world was believed to be thin. During these days, it was said that the spirits of ancestors and other beings could cross over, visiting the living.
People would leave offerings to honor and appease these spirits, seeking their blessings and protection for the cold months ahead. They also wore animal skins and masks to disguise themselves from wandering spirits and to stay safe during this mystical night.
This ancient wisdom mirrors the energy of this week. It’s a time to slow down and be more intentional with your attention, to go inward, reflect, and listen.
You might feel like you’re moving in circles, revisiting familiar themes or emotions, but remember: you are not where you were before.
Just like a spiral, you’re circling deeper, uncovering layers, gaining wisdom, and still moving forward through time and space.
The energy feels introspective, almost like nature herself is inviting us to turn inward as we transition toward winter.
And while the veil is said to be thin at this time of year, it’s worth noting that in recent years, that veil has been growing thinner overall, allowing more of us to sense and connect with the unseen realms around us.
So this week, let yourself move slowly, stay grounded, and pay attention to what your soul is whispering in the quiet. The guidance, connection, or clarity you’ve been seeking is closer than you think.
